About Us
Art in the Park is held over Labor Day weekend each year and attracts more than 4,000 guests in search of uniquely handcrafted fine arts. Featuring more than 40 artists showcasing painting, sculpture, glass, textiles, pottery, and more amongst the tree-lined pathways of Freeport’s Krape Park. Art in the Park is free to the public and designed for the whole family to enjoy. Now in its 16th year, the event is co-hosted by the Freeport Art Museum and the Freeport Park District.
In addition to the diverse artwork, the art fair showcases continuous live entertainment by local and regional musicians and food from unique and award-winning vendors such as baklava sundaes by the Greek Orthodox Church and kettle corn from the local Lion’s Club. Krape Park offers its own amentities as well including paddling yellow creek, mini-golf, and a historic carousel.
